Hawzah News Agency- The remarks were delivered by Hojatoleslam Sayyed Kamal Hosseini, head of Al-Mustafa International University's representative office in India, during a spiritual ceremony marking the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Ghadir. The event was hosted jointly by the Islamic Republic of Iran's Cultural House in India, Al-Mustafa's representative office, and other Iranian cultural bodies. It drew the participation of scholars, intellectuals, cultural figures, and a large gathering of devotees of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, embassy staff, religious scholars, cultural and social personalities, and a sizable congregation of believers and lovers of the Prophet's Household. The gathering was infused with an atmosphere of fervent devotion to the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).
In his opening address, Hojatoleslam Hosseini paid tribute to the anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini and commemorated the martyrs of the June 5, 1963 uprising in Iran. He described the event of Ghadir as a decisive turning point in Islamic history. "Ghadir is, in truth, the continuation of the prophetic mission of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his household) and the official declaration of the divine system of Wilayah—guardianship and leadership—over the Islamic Ummah," he stated.
Drawing on Quranic verses and narrations from the Ahl al-Bayt, the Al-Mustafa representative elaborated on the station of Eid al-Ghadir. "This great day is not merely a historical event," he said. "It is the manifestation of divine will to guide the Ummah and to guarantee the continuity of the path of truth after the passing of the Holy Prophet."
Hojatoleslam Hosseini underscored the timeless messages of Ghadir, affirming that the event proclaims unity, guidance, the pursuit of justice, and firm adherence to divine leadership. "These are messages that can serve as a beacon for Muslims and Islamic societies in every age," he added.
He called on those present to embody the teachings of Ghadir in their personal and social lives, urging them to cling to the example and teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt in order to advance on the path of spiritual elevation and the progress of the Islamic community.
The ceremony concluded in an atmosphere brimming with spirituality and love for the Prophet's Household, with attendees renewing their allegiance to the Wilayah of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), and reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of the school of the Ahl al-Bayt.
